Our Wheel-Rail Measuring System captures the interaction between railway wheels and the rail, enabling the determination of the sinusoidal running of the wheels. It detects possible profile deviations and potential two-point contacts between wheel and rail, which can increase wear on wheels and rails and lead to high noise levels.

Our measuring system uses laser scanning units directed from the inside onto the wheels and the rail, thus capturing the running behavior of the wheels on the track. It determines the position of individual wheel suspensions or wheel disks, accelerations at the wheel bearings, the individual wheel suspensions, the undercarriage, and the car body, as well as the adjustment angle of the swing arms, the wheel back distance, the car body inclination, the position on the track, and the speed.

Additionally, an optional overhead line and conductor rail measurement can also be performed. Since every rail network is different, we offer our customers individual evaluations based on their specifications. Our DTK-Explorer software offers a wide range of evaluation possibilities and has been continuously expanded based on customer feedback.
